New AI Function in the Digital Platform
Soon, the nutrient management in our in-store farms will be fully automated, thanks to a world-unique AI-driven feature currently being developed and integrated into our digital platform, Swegreen Cloud.
As part of our innovation lab, Swegreen is continuously working on cutting-edge greentech solutions to address today’s societal and climate challenges. We are currently developing an automatic feature for managing the nutrients in our units.
A Precise Nutrient Flow
With the help of artificial intelligence, it will be possible to achieve an almost 100% circular and precise nutrient flow. The AI feature is being integrated into our digital monitoring platform, Swegreen Cloud. The development is a close collaboration between our research and development team at Swegreen X and several highly qualified AI researchers from Mälardalen University within the AIFOOD project.
A Key Issue for the Industry
AIFOOD is a project funded by Sweden’s Innovation Agency Vinnova and is a collaboration between Mälardalen University, Swegreen, the Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE), ICA, real estate owner Areim, and consultancy firms Sweco and Bjerking. – The project is based on the needs identified by our partner Swegreen and focuses on a key issue within the vertical farming industry. Our focus is on demonstration, and the technology will be developed step by step, with an emphasis on the overall AI functionality, says Baran Çürüklü, project leader and senior lecturer from Mälardalen University.
